Mr Gold and I went to the newest Chinese restaurant in town. Part of the Wing Wah dynasty that has just arrived smack in the heart of China town we enjoyed fabulous food in sumptuous surroundings.
We wanted to start with the dim sum parcels, but as you may recall my husband can not eat meat, but the waitress was very helpful and had a word with the chef to get us only fish or vegetable dim sum.
The food was lovely, the setting is very regal and the service was wonderful. Certainly a restaurant we shall be returning to.
As luck would have it, the Wing Wah was holding some sort of party, so I buried myself taking some photos of the food that was not mine. A little cheeky I know, but it was very photogenic.
Wing Wah have really pushed the boat out and this is why I love China town. With so many great restaurants in one small area, the competition is huge so the only way to win is to be better than the rest.
I loved the open kitchen so we could watch our food being prepared. As it was very early when we arrived the restaurant was surprisingly empty, to be honest, I don’t see that lasting long. Once word gets out, this is going to fast become a very busy bar restaurant. So get yourself down to the new location for Wing Wah whilst you still can.
